     I came across Marshels website looking for a decorator. They took over wallpapering from another decorator whom I felt was struggling with the job. Marshels contract Manager allocated the job to a very skilled, conscientious, meticulous and considerate staff. A real craftsman. He had to be as the plaster work in my house is not particularly good. The job was done within the timeframe and with great care and consideration for me and my house. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

     We recently used Marshels to repaint and decorate the front of our shop. From start to finish the experience has been exceptional!
Steve initially came out and quoted within a couple of days of my enquiry. The work was carried out within a couple of weeks of proceed. They worked around our closed hours, meaning it didn't affect our working day. The work carried out was to exceptional standard. Steve stayed in touch throughout the project, finishing with a visit to sign the job off.
I can not recommend Marshels enough and I shall be using them in the future for home projects.

     We were very pleased with the work which Marshels did in renovating the exterior of our rendered house, and the highly professional approach which was adopted.  Shane and Drew diligently cleared up every day ensuring that there was no mess and kept us informed as to progress.  They went the extra mile in addressing other small issues which arose.  Adam provided managerial oversight of the work and checked that we were happy with the final result.  We would unhesitatingly recommend them and will use them again.

     We employed Marshels to help us carry out a complete refurbishment of a rental property we had purchased in Guildford. We knew that there was a lot of work necessary but Jamie and his team proved to be thorough and professional throughout, providing a very detailed quotation, coordinating the various trades necessary (electricians, plumbers, plasterers etc), and finishing the flat to a very good standard. Whenever there were decisions to be made, Marshels were in touch and responded promptly; we really felt we could trust them to do a good job for us throughout. We will certainly be using Marshels for any future works of this nature and I warmly recommend their services.

What is the best order to paint a room?

When painting a room, it’s important to follow a systematic approach for optimal results. We’d recommend painting the ceiling first to prevent any accidental drips or splatters on the freshly painted walls. Using a roller on an extension pole will help provide efficient coverage. After the ceiling has dried, move on to painting the walls using a roller for the main areas and a brush for corners and details. Once the interior walls are dry, shift your focus to the finer details by painting the baseboards, window frames, door frames, and other trim using a smaller precision brush.

How to paint interior doors?
